Dharamshala — Khadhok, a collective of Tibetan artists organised an art exhibition entitled ‘UNSETTLED’ at Mcleod Ganj on November 1, 2024. The exhibition features 20 exiled Tibetan artists from around the world. The artworks explore themes of Tibetan identity, displacement and the universal journey of belonging. The artworks also illustrated the unsettled lives of Tibetans in Exile.

Dharamshala — The Chinese authorities in Central Tibet are recruiting new Tibetan soldiers, and in recent days a welcoming ceremony for recruits to the Autumn Army was held in Chushur county, Lhasa City, Tibet. According to some sources, the number of Tibetans joining the Chinese army is decreasing every year, despite China's efforts to increase the number as much as possible.

Dharamshala — Chinese authorities detained the young Tibetan, who recently posted videos, to expose the illegal extraction of sand by Chinese company in his region, in Gakog county, Ngawa, Tibet. Instead of solving the problems of local Tibetans and the damage being done to the environment, the Chinese authorities detained the Tibetan and interrogated him about his recent videos. Tibetans are very concerned about his well-being.

Paris — Over 140 international Tibetan groups condemn the Musée Guimet for rewriting the history of Tibet and replacing the word Tibet with "Himalayan World" in the museum. They call on the museum to stop supporting China's colonisation of Tibet.

Geneva – 15 countries expressed serious concern about human rights violations in Tibet, including 'the detention of Tibetans for peacefully expressing their political views, restrictions on travel, coercive labour arrangements, the separation of children from their families in boarding schools and the erosion of linguistic, cultural, educational and religious rights and freedoms in Tibet'.

New Delhi – In a recent speech delivered in New Delhi, Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration gave a brief overview of history of Tibet and he said, "No foreign country has ever directly ruled Tibet. Although there have been cases of outside influence, Tibet has never been under the direct control of a foreign country".

"I had no idea that I was going to leave my parents and family forever, when I escaping to a free country. They knew that if I stayed in Tibet, I would either graze animals or be sent to compulsory Chinese boarding schools run by the Chinese government and return home as a Chinese," he said.
